A Hodge Podge of Subjects

It's been a little crazy around here lately, hence the lack of blogging going on. Also, I have something kind of big that I'm having to deal with.. serious and maybe a little scary.. and I haven't much felt like blogging. I'll share when I have more information to share, but until then maybe you could send some good karma my way.

My cats however, are starting to get along. (like how I changed the topic?) I think that eventually they might be friends, but for now I'll settle for "sleeping near each other". Winter is coming soon (gasp, I still haven't bought the kids winter coats.. I'm getting no parenting points this year) and Bella isn't much a fan of the snow, so it will force her inside and she'll just have to deal with Bailey.


I've discovered, that when one is facing things that are maybe serious and scary, that seeking out comforting things is a good distraction. In the past few days I have watched my Red Sox rock this world series from underneath my favorite stadium blanket that The Boy bought me last year for our anniversary. We had homemade mac and cheese tonight for dinner, with homemade bread. I bought some yummy organic cotton this morning and crocheted a washcloth this afternoon. Easy enough to not to have to think to hard about.. and interesting enough to keep my mind focused on the pattern and from wandering elsewhere. I have another ball in another color and might make another one tomorrow. I haven't decided what I'll do with them yet, but that's not a concern.

Tomorrow I'm hoping to get 2 rooms deep cleaned along with cleaning and sealing our old windows. I have plans to bake a loaf of cranberry bread, along with 4 mini breads for the freezer. I'd like to go for a walk, and maybe even take a nap. Whatever your plans are, I hope you have a great day!!
