Hermione is one of my favorite Harry Potter characters and not because she's a girl. Her wry wit makes me laugh right out loud when I'm reading the books, and I like that she is smart and moody.
I kind of had hoped that J.K. Rowlings would've developed a relationship between Harry and Hermione, but that was early on, and I've decided I like the Ron/Hermione thing. I'd rather have Harry just be the best friend.
