Random Thursday

Yes, I know. Wednesday is for randomness, but last night I had a drumming gig at a fundraising event, and I just didn't have any functioning brain cells when I got home. It's been a crazy, hectic week and I am so glad it is almost over.

Yesterday I tromped out to refill my bird feeders after school, and was delighted and surprised to find my crocus's had bloomed. I should've known, as our crocus's at school have been gracing us with their loveliness all week long, but it just didn't cross my mind to check my garden. Usually the photo of the first blooms has them peeking out of snow. This week it's getting warmer by the day and tomorrow it will be apx. 72 degrees. In March. I raked today after school. In March. The whole idea is so hard to wrap my brain around. Usually we are still shoveling out from our mid march blizzard at this time. Definitely  not raking the entire back yard. Bring it on baby. I am so ready for spring!

This handsome little man, is coming home tomorrow. The photo shown was taken last weekend. He's had the feeding tube out since then, and has been nursing like a pro. He was still having sleep apnea episode's and so they wanted to keep him a little bit longer . He actually had an episode this morning, but they think it was due to blockage and will be sending Jen home with a machine to monitor it for a few weeks. Better safe than sorry. He has gained a lot of weight this past week and they are all ready to come home. I hear that he is just a little doll, and doesn't fuss at all. My kind of baby. Mom is exhausted, but then again, aren't we all?

This, is the project that my son's group did for the curriculum fair. Just to balance the scale. I didn't want his sister to get all the glory. His class did a study of our town in colonial days, and they each had to make a model of one of the houses/landmarks. His group did the white and brown house on the right side of the desks. We won't discuss how many sweatshirts/pants now have reminders of this project in the form of brown paint that couldn't come off.. overall I think they did a nice job. They are glad that it's all over. I couldn't agree more.
