I'm Thankful...

I'm thankful that I have a warm, comfortable house, and a roof over my head. I am thankful that I have the ability to have the last of the non-slate leaky parts replaced with non-leaking roof material. I hope my roof guy had a wonderful day today with his daughter and partner. Some people not too far away from here have lost their homes due to a horrible explosion. They are in my thoughts and prayers this year.


My mother's convent does work for and with homeless people and I am so very proud of her. Every year I am amazed at the stories she tells about the people she meets and the ones who are part of her daily life. I am thankful to have my job, no matter how stressful it might be this year. I am thankful to be able to pay my bills and put food on the table. I am thankful that my children will never know what it's like to go hungry. My heart goes out to the ones who know that feeling all too well. I wish I could bring them all home to dinner.

I am thankful for all the wonderful people I have in my life. Those that I see on a daily basis, and those I see on occasion. I am thankful for the wonderful friends I have made through these internets. You all rock. Happy Thanksgiving.
