Oh Christmas Trees.. Oh Christmas Trees

SOME TUESDAY TRIVIA:

A. 1 hour, give or take a few minutes.

Q: How long does it take your house to heat back up after you've run out of oil while everyone was off at school?

A. $150.

Q: What is the emergency delivery charge issued by the oil company to come out on an unscheduled delivery day?
(FYI, you can put diesel into your oil tank in a pinch. We will get our scheduled delivery of oil tomorrow).

A. This is the last year.

Q: How many more years will the photo of the family room tree contain that sad, slip-covered couch?
(Our new furniture that we bought the weekend of Halloween should be here within the next few weeks. I feel so grown up finally buying OUR own furniture after all these years.)

A: Two

Q: How many ornaments off the front room tree have been broken by the cats?(I should point out that while I thought Bailey would grow out of playing with the tree, and Sophie would the issue this year... Sophie leaves the tree alone and it's still Bailey who pulls the ornaments off. One is only missing the top which I'm sure is on the tree somewhere. Only one is smashed.)

A: Three

Q: How many different spots in the front room has that tree lived over the years? (this spot has become my new favorite.)

A: Nine

Q: How many strands of lights are on that tree?(The boy weaves the strands in and out of the branches as he puts the tree up. So much prettier than my old "wrap around the tree" method of doing lights. I only put up the bows, the glass balls and the snowflakes I made last year. I am thinking of adding one more kind of ornament and leaving this tree simple. It's pretty lit up at night and I love it.

A: Eight, baring bad weather.

Q: How many more days of school until vacation? (not that I'm counting)

A: Three.

Q: How many more people do I have to buy a Christmas present for? (and all the gifts in my possession are wrapped. I'm ahead of the game this year).

A: Two or three.

Q: How many beers do I want to have when I think about all the things I have to do in the next 10 days? (I think that the beers would be counterproductive however and maybe I'll just have one. Not tonight however.)

Your home looks gorgeous. And I love love love the Xmas look of your blog. One of these days I'll have to bribe you into helping me make mine over. Wonder how many margaritas it would take...
