It's Raining on my Parade

I suppose that we needed this rain. The news reports have been littered with brush fires and house fires and fire warnings and alerts. My list of things I wanted to get done this weekend... I haven't been able to check one thing off. Actually, two things can be done, but one of them involves more than just me and so I've moved it till tomorrow.

I just checked the forecast for the rest of the week...and it's not looking too good. I think I'll just start my spring cleaning.

As quoted from WMUR news:

"We really need the rain... in the last 2 months, we have had a little less than half of the normal rainfall, and very little in the last couple weeks. Much of the spring, we have seen brush fires all over because of the tinder-dry conditions. This rain will alleviate those concerns, at least for a while. That being said, it still IS the weekend and it isn't going to be the nicest day on today for doing that outdoor work that you may need to get done... or, for that matter, it's not going to be the nicest day for really doing much of anything! The rainiest part of Sunday will likely be the afternoon and evening...(beginning late morning for southwest NH)... the morning will have some scattered lighter showers at times, but the steadiest and heaviest will be in the afternoon and Sunday night. Southern NH looks to pick up the most rain. It's also school vacation week in much of New Hampshire this week. Unfortunately, it could be a lot better. The first two days of the week will be a bit unsettled, with the chance of scattered showers on Monday... Tuesday should have a nice period in the morning before clouds and showers move in sometime in the afternoon.. and then the second half of the week should be dry and sunny... BUT breezy and and much cooler with highs in the 40s and 50s. As we get toward Friday, the temps should at least be warming up a little bit more.... Sorry about that, I was looking forward to it too."
