This was the view across the street at 6:30 this morning. I was futzing around in my kitchen, and looked out the window and knew I had to snap my Saturday Sky photo then. Normally you'd see a mountain where those clouds are. Normally it's not 80 degrees out at 6:30 am either.
I read an article in the paper today about how warmer nights are contributing to the massive bouts of heat we've been seeing in the US. I don't doubt it for one minute. It's going to be in the hundreds this week. That isn't normal for NH. Usually we get 5 days of 90+ weather a summer. Y'all.. our summers last for roughly 60 days. We've already had a bunch, and we still have a month to go!
It's been hot at school... I can't fathom what this week will be like. This is why there is no school in summer. 10 more days (actual, not school) and I get a vacation. 2 glorious weeks off until school starts. Want to know how many plans I have? NONE. No, that's not true. We have a 4 days camping trip in there. I will not be painting my front room (it can wait until Sept.), I will not be doing any big house or yard projects. I am going to enjoy my 2 weeks and.. well.. I might just be lazy. We'll see how it goes.
